The rearview mirror shall be adjusted and cleaned to maintain clear vision
The rear-view mirror is designed in the form of mirror protector, which is generally electrically controlled and can be adjusted in four directions: up, down, left and right. When using, adjust the driver's seat position, turn the LR button to the gear to be adjusted, l or R, and press the direction button to adjust the lens. When adjusting the lens, look at the distance from the rear-view mirror. You can see the vehicle body in the triangle area, and the sight distance can be as far as possible. When backing up, you sometimes need to look at the wheels. You can adjust the rearview mirror downward to see the wheels and then back up. After backing up, you should turn the rearview mirror back in time.
In the process of vehicle driving, the road traffic situation is always in a dynamic changing process.
When the driver observes and collects traffic information, sometimes he only pays attention to the traffic conditions in front of him, but does not pay attention to the traffic conditions on both sides and behind him. That is to say, the rearview mirror is not used correctly for observation, resulting in wrong estimation and wrong operation measures. The light ones will affect the normal driving of vehicles, and the heavy ones will lead to traffic accidents. To give full play to the role of automobile rearview mirror, attention should be paid to the following aspects:
(1) Adjust the position and angle of the rearview mirror before driving. During driving, the position and angle of the rear-view mirror are easy to change due to the driving vibration of the vehicle, which should be observed and adjusted in time.
(2) When the driving route such as stopping, starting, overtaking, turning and turning around on the general road is about to change, the corresponding driving signal shall be given first, and attention shall be paid to the rear-view mirror to timely understand the traffic conditions on both sides and the rear, so as to prevent the traffic accident caused by being caught unprepared in the sudden situation.
(3) When passing through markets, intersections and other places with a large number of traffic, you should move slowly and pay attention to the rearview mirror.
(4) When passing through narrow roads and bridges with non motor vehicles or pedestrians on both sides, slow down and pay proper attention to rear-view mirrors; Maintain necessary lateral spacing with non motor vehicles or pedestrians.
(5) When driving on high-grade highways, it is necessary not only to keep a necessary safety distance from the vehicle in front, but also to observe and judge the following distance of the vehicle behind through the rear-view mirror, so as to be aware of the situation and avoid rear end collision.
(6) When crossing the intersection, there are many traffic conflicts. Reduce the speed, pay attention to the pedestrians and vehicles on both sides, and pass smoothly on the premise of safety.
(7) Before predictive braking, observe the rear-view mirror of the vehicle, pay attention to the position and relative driving speed of the vehicle behind, and then determine the braking measures to be taken to prevent rear collision during braking.
